Comkar-10000 High Capacity Digital Switching Exchange

General Description:

The structure of Comkar-10000 system is based on newest technology, looking to the future and using 22 years of experience in design and implementation of small and medium range digital switches . The normal capacity of the Exchange is up to 15K extendable to 60K ports and due to its complete modularity and high flexibility , it can be configured as local exchange , tandem or any combination . This  fully distributed processing system is in service  in Iran telecommunication network .

* Technical Summary

Load sharing and duplication mechanisms , which are the intrinsic capabilities of this distributed processing and resource management system , promote its flexibility and reliability  to high standards .

A matrix of processors in cooperation with 2K×2K switch and high speed links for interprocess communications serves the subscriber modules , the duplication mechanism , tones , announcements , conferencing , local test hardware and the call processing procedures . The voice channel pools provide a non-blocking medium for digital as well as analog subscribers or trunks . The structure of trunks' subsystems is such that different network interfaces can easily be deployed .

Through a matrix of 16K×16K switch, which is designed to be the load sharing central switch,  all subsystems are connected together and as a whole

has the capability of handling 4000 Erlang traffic with a  BHCA of 100000 .

* Interfaces

The integral parts of the digital exchange supports the following signalling techniques and interfaces recommended by ITU :

I ) Analog line ( ordinary and coinBox )

II ) Digital Trunk ( E1,G.703 )

III ) SS#7 , CAS and R1

IV ) ISDN (PRI , BRI )
