COMKAR MICROWAVE RADIO

General Description:

CMR2E1/2.5G

The CMR 2E1/2.5 G are digital microwave equipments operating at 2.5 GHZ with a data rate of 2×2.048 Mbit/s . They have been designed in such a way that they can be associated with the same standard 19 inch rack . Their modularity make the CMR 2E1/2.5 G system particularly suitable for the set up of links in local networks as well as for the connection of these networks to major national systems . They may directly connect two digital exchanges .

When associated with multiplexing equipments (30chanels PCM) , they can connect analog exchanges .

Radio Equipment Construction

The CMR 2E1/2.5 G comprise :

Two transmitters including modulator , up converter , power AmP. And local oscillator . The oscillator is controlled by frequency synthesizer . Two receivers including low noise AmP. , image rejection mixer , local oscillator similar to that use for transmission , IF filters , IF AmP . , AGC and demodulator .

A branching including TX filter , RX filter , circulator , TX logic and power divider .

A base-band including base-band circuits for filtering the incoming signal prior to modulation and a hitless (1+1) switching board operating on automatic and manual mode and two service channels , one for order wire and one digital 64 Kb/s channel , which can be used for supervision .

Radio Equipment Organization

Radio equipment is designed in the form of boards plugging into a radio shelf mounting in standard 19 inch rack .

The radio unit is available in (1+1) hot standby configuration . This configuration improves link availability and quality , ensuring a good protection against propagation failures .

Frequency Plans

CMR 2E1/2.5G is working in the 2.3-2.5 GHZ and 2.5-2.7 GHZ bands . Each bands has the capacity for 20 two-way channels with 4 MHZ spacing .
